I had the impression that I needed to honor someone with a german last name. As I got to know him a little more I realized that he had a neat heritage. I thought is was appropriate to honor his great and significant German heritage. Through some research, I discovered that he had never held a sword until that year. In that year, my gift made the third sword he had received. This seemed to be a special season in his life. As always, there was a hand-written card given to him regarding why this sword was being given to him with a specific word to bring him encourage him throughout the years.
